Distance Sales Agreement

1. Buyer

The name, address and contact details you provide when ordering form the BUYER details of this contract and appear in your order summary.

2. Subject

The sale and delivery of the product ordered electronically through melitene.com.tr, whose characteristics and price are stated in the order summary, and the parties' rights and obligations under Turkish consumer protection legislation.

3. Product and payment

The type and quantity of the product, the sale price including VAT and the shipping charge are shown in the order summary. Payment is made by the method chosen at checkout. Prices are in Turkish Lira.

4. Delivery

The product is shipped to the delivery address given by the BUYER. Delivery takes place within a maximum of 30 days from order confirmation; in practice it is far quicker. Where the product is handed to a person other than the BUYER, the SELLER cannot be held responsible for non-receipt.

5. Right of withdrawal

The BUYER may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason and without penalty, by writing to [İLETİŞİM E-POSTA]. The product must be returned complete, with its packaging and accessories.

6. Where withdrawal does not apply

  • Perishable foodstuffs or goods with a short expiry date
  • Goods whose packaging has been opened and which cannot be returned for reasons of health and hygiene
  • Goods prepared to the BUYER's personal specification
  • Live animal sales and orders including slaughter services

7. Defective goods

If the product is defective the BUYER may request replacement, a refund or a price reduction. For damage caused in transit, a report must be raised with the courier before the parcel is accepted.

8. Disputes

Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts at the BUYER's place of residence have jurisdiction, within the monetary limits announced by the Ministry of Trade.
